All MUSQ products find their origin in the Multidimensional Model (MM). This implies that the main theme of the questionnaire is approached by considering the influence of multiple dimensions. Each dimension, except personality, is given a color that can be interpreted as a risk indicator for problems within the domain itself. Green represents no to a low risk, yellow a slightly increased risk, orange a clearly increased risk and red a highly increased risk. Finally, to get to the core of the model - the interference of the main theme with the individual - the information from all domains is processed through algorithms developed by MUSQ. Based on these algorithms, a color indicative of the risk level is assigned to the core of the model.

When you move your mouse over the model, an example is shown. This model is generated in the MUSQ-SI, which focuses on interference between smartphone use and the individual. You will see that the Personality has a gray color. No statement is made about the risk of certain personality traits; however, this information is used to provide tailor-made advice.

After applying the algorithm developed by MUSQ, in which all risk indicators are included, it appears that the Interference with the individual turns orange. This means that there is a clearly increased risk of (undesirable) interference between the individual and smartphone use.
